The Brief

Bimbi is a small township that suffered great loss at the hands of the war. Margret Nowlan spent years researching the tragedies of this era and put a remarkable effort into collecting, compelling and writing each person’s story. The book was presented at a commemorative ANZAC Day.

Design Outcomes

Design of a 220 page history book which was quite a feat. The clients put in so much research and collecting efforts that I wanted the design to reflect their hard work and paying tribute to the fallen soldiers of Bimbi and surrounds. This was achieved by keeping quite a neutral colour palette of white, sepia tones and a Burgundy. Quite a number of copies have been sold.
